The Jugbusters will be appearing on the Local Zone on WUVT, 90.7, Blacksburg this Wednesday at (I think) 8:00pm.  The show starts at 7pm, and we should hit the airwaves live around 8.

In additional to our usual old-time-radio hijinx, we’ll be helping to promote the new Local Zone compilation CD Live from Studio C: The Best of The Local Zone, featuring cuts from all of your favorite local bands from the last few years of the show.  The CD was assembled by the Local Zone’s estimable producer Len Comaratta, in a run of only 1000, so get ‘em while you can!  Includes a rare version of “Sugar Hill” performed by the Jugbusters in 2005.  It’s like a time machine for your stereo!

Well, the results are in, and you guys have voted us the Best Local Band in Blacksburg.

For all you NRV locals: The Jugbusters have been nominated for “Best Local Band” in this year’s Collegiate Times “Best of Blacksburg” poll.  Cruise on over to the site, and cast a vote for us!

Just want to take a minute to remind y’all that in addition to our usual Cellar gig on Thursday, the Jugbusters will be playing at Newport Fest this Saturday.  If you haven’t been to Newport Fest, this would be a great year to check it out.  The fest has been expanded to two days this year.  The Jugbusters hit the stage at 7pm on Saturday, but there are two full days of great bands to check out.

And for the cavers, we’ll be at OTR again this year for the Sunday river party.  If you know, you know, and if you don’t, you don’t.  More wine!

We also hit the Floyd Country Store again on Friday, September 11.  We’re giving you as many reasons to dance as we can, people.  Don’t pass it up!
